Dear Summer Band Camps Participant, 

Greetings from James Madison University and WELCOME to the 2025 JMU Summer Band Camps.  We hope your time with us will provide exciting and memorable experiences that you will take back to your band program this fall.  We hope the subsequent information will provide you with a brief overview of our program as well as all of the information you will need to know while preparing to join us in June. 

Whether you are new to our campus or have been with us before, you probably know that James Madison University is home to one of the most outstanding college band programs in America, and also the home of one of “Virginia’s Finest” summer camp experiences.  We hope you are looking forward to joining us in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley for the 41st Annual JMU Summer Band Camps.  It is our priority to provide you with a meaningful and enjoyable camp experience involving our state-of-the-art music and athletic facilities, a team of talented and energized staff and counselors, nationally-recognized clinicians, a well-developed 5-day curriculum, and leadership components in all camps that will prepare you for the exciting marching and concert seasons ahead.  

This year’s camp begins with participant registration and move-in on Tuesday July 8th, and will conclude on Saturday, July 12th, with final performances from each camp.   Please browse through the following materials carefully to familiarize yourself with the JMU Summer Band Camps experience.
